About the site
Swedishgenderequalityagency.se is the official website of the Swedish Gender Equality Agency and is currently available in two languages, Swedish and English.
The website is responsive, which means it is adapted to work on computer monitors as well as tablets and smartphones.
Users can also search for content by means of the filter function and by using the search function at the top of the page.
Most web browsers have a menu function for changing the size of the text on the webpage. The easiest way to customise the size of the text is to press the CTRL key and then scroll the mouse wheel. If you do not have a mouse wheel, click the minus or the plus key.
If you are using an Mac computer, press the Command key instead of the CTRL key.
Accessibility statement
The Swedish Gender Equality Agency is committed to ensuring that swedishgenderequalityagency.se is accessible in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Digital Public Services.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Act on the Accessibility of Digital Public Services due to the deficiencies described below.
Non-accessible content:
- Text presented as images
Some older PDF documents contain examples where text is presented as images of text rather than actual text, which makes it more difficult to read. - Visual information in videos not fully audio described
In one audio described video, the audio description is presented first, followed by the video. The audio description should instead be presented simultaneously with the video content. - Incorrectly coded documents
A small number of PDF documents have technical accessibility issues, including: missing tag structure, missing primary language specification and document title; tables and lists that are not correctly coded; missing alternative text for meaningful graphical elements; and insufficient colour contrast in small text.
Plan for remediation
During February and March 2026, we will address documents that are not correctly coded.
The other two issues concern publications and a film produced several years ago and will not be remedied. We now apply established procedures to ensure that newly produced documents and videos are accessible.
How we tested accessibility
This statement was last updated on 30 January 2026. Prior to the launch of this website in January 2021, Funka AB conducted an accessibility review of the website in a test environment. Since then, we have implemented ongoing improvements.
We were also reviewed through DIGG’s simplified monitoring on 21 November 2022. In addition to these reviews, we regularly use a web accessibility analysis tool that identifies accessibility issues.
Report accessibility issues
We continuously strive to improve the accessibility of this website. If you discover any problems not described on this page, or if you believe that we do not comply with the legal requirements, please contact us so that we are aware of the issue: webb@jamstalldhetsmyndigheten.se.
